Paul Foster Partner
Paul is a partner in the firm, his father having founded it in 1976. Paul has been a family solicitor since 1979. He has extensive experience in many areas of law but has specialised in family law for more than 20 years. Paul is a member of the Law Society Children Panel enabling him to represent children and parents in care proceedings. Paul is an acknowledged specialist in public and private law proceedings relating to children and appears on a regular basis in the local courts representing children and parents in such cases.

Paul is one of the very few family lawyers in this country to have been appointed as a Higher Courts Advocate. This allows him to appear in all levels of court in this country as an advocate in civil proceedings. He also holds specialist certificates in Children’s Advocacy and Child Law issued by Resolution

Paul is a trained family mediator who has also lectured on family law to mediators and contributed to a textbook on family law for mediators.

John Pratley Partner
John has specialised as a family lawyer since joining the firm in 1993.

John’s particular area of expertise is dealing with financial arrangements arising from divorce and from the breakdown of unmarried relationships. He has particular experience in acting for clients with larger asset bases, and more complex financial affairs.

John is an accredited Resolution Specialist (special expertise in advanced financial provision and in pensions). He is also a member of Resolution. John is also a fully accredited Collaborative Lawyer

John has been a partner since 1997.

Greg Moss Partner
Greg qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and worked for some eight years as a specialist family lawyer in an inner city practice before joining Foster & Partners in 1998. 

Greg’s specialism is in the area of children law. He represents parents and grandparents involved in complex disputes about children with both other family members and Social Services. He also frequently acts for children who are involved in court proceedings, an area of work which he finds particularly rewarding.

He is a member of the Law Society Children Panel (accredited to act on behalf of both adults and children) and a member of Resolution.

Greg has been a partner in the firm since 2001.

Carol Chrisfield Associate
Carol qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and has worked as a specialist family lawyer since that time. She joined Foster & Partners in 2005. 

Carol specialises in resolving financial and children issues on divorce and separation, both for private paying clients and those who qualify for public funding (legal aid). She is an accredited specialist in complex financial disputes and cases involving domestic violence.

She is also a member of Resolution, whose aim is to provide a sensitive and constructive approach to resolving issues and disputes.

Fiona Sansom   Associate

Fiona qualified and joined the firm in December 2006. She is a member of the Law Society Children Panel and a member of Resolution. She specialises in all areas of family law with particular interest in children cases including those involving social services, representing both parents and children.

Clair Wygladala Associate

Clair has been a family lawyer since 2001. She became a member of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2002 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute in 2005.

Clair joined Foster & Partners in January 2008 having previously worked for 7 years in a local specialist family law practice. She specialises in all areas of family law but particularly  in resolving disputes about financial arrangements on divorce or the breakdown of unmarried relationships. Clair also acts in cases where social services are involved and in cases involving domestic violence and injunctions. She is a Resolution accredited specialist in disputes involving children and in domestic violence cases.

Kelly Gitsom Associate
Kelly joined Foster & Partners in 2001.

She is a fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) and former Vice Chair of the Bristol and Bath ILEX Branch, being an original member of the group who established the branch in 2001.

Kelly is a member of Resolution and specialises in family law, including cases concerning children, divorce and financial arrangements following divorce or separation of unmarried couples. 

In particular, Kelly has considerable experience in dealing with victims of domestic violence and assisting them in obtaining injunctions. Kelly is also a trustee of Survive, a local organisation which provides advice, support and accommodation to women who who have experienced domestic violence. She was awarded the national ILEX 2007 pro bono award in recognition of her work with Survive.

Tracey Walker Associate

Tracey has specialised as a family lawyer since she qualified as a solicitor in 1991. She was previously a partner in a firm in South Devon where she was head of the family law department before relocating to Bristol where she joined Foster and Partners in 2009.

Tracey is a member and an accredited specialist of Resolution. Tracey's accountancy background enables her to unravel the complex financial issues that may result from relationship breakdown whether for married or unmarried couples. She has a depth and wealth of experience in assisting clients with drafting premarital and cohabitation agreements and resolving disputes about chlidren. Her personal approach and commitment ensure that disputes are resolved in a non confrontational and cost effective manner.

Jenna Eldrett   Associate
Jenna joined Foster & Partners in 2008 having qualified as a solicitor in January 2006.

Jenna is a member of Resolution and specialises in all areas of family law with a particular interest and expertise in cases involving disputes about children, including those involving social services.
